Revelstoke

The town of Revelstoke is located between the Selkirk and Monashee Mountains, and offers visitors quaint boutiques, casual coffee bars and a wide selection of restaurants. All are within easy walking distance of this charming alpine village.

What to do

Revelstoke offers many activities for tourists. Besides being located in an all-season mountain playground and being the western gateway to the Rocky Mountains, Revelstoke has many cultural and historical attractions.

Outdoor Adventures

Outdoor activities include hiking, mountain biking, fishing, caving, heli-hiking, white water rafting, horseback riding and canoeing in summer. Revelstoke also has an 18-hole riverside golf course. In winter there is snowmobiling, heli-skiing and back country skiing.

Wet Escapes

The Revelstoke Aquatic Centre features a large waterslide, an Olympic-sized pool, climbing wall and a Turkish bath. 35 kilometers/22 miles east of Revelstoke, Canyon Hot Springs offers hot mineral pools to revitalize weary travelers.

Entertainment

Grizzly Plaza is an open air square in the centre of town that hosts free live entertainment every summer evening. On Saturday mornings a Farmer’s Market provides fresh produce, arts and crafts, and children’s entertainment.

Revelstoke is home to many museums. The Railway Museum tells the story of how the country came together through the building of the railway. The Revelstoke Museum and the Firehall Museum explore the town’s history, and the BC Interior Forestry Museum shows the importance of logging in the province.

Revelstoke is located just 19 kilometers/12 miles east of Three Valley Gap.
