On the Trans-Canada Highway, 40 KM west of Revelstoke, you'll find one of Canada's most irreplaceable and endearing attractions – Beardale Miniatureland.
Meticulously handcrafted model villages, complete with working trains and model cable cars, delight young and old alike. Named in honour of the resident Black Bears, park-like setting features an extraordinary world of miniature towns, model railways and colourful fantasyland characters all "in motion." Highlights include a 1950’s Canadian Prairie town, Medieval German Town, English Tudor Village, Swiss Mountain Village, Last Spike Heritage Display, Haida Fishing Village, and a Japanese Temple and Sand Garden. Today, under the care and respect of Three Valley Lake Chateau, Beardale is a testament to creator Herb Egin’s perseverance and commitment to cultural awareness and heritage preservation.
